RAGBRAI July 21-27, 2019
RAGBRAI is an acronym (and registered trademark) for the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, which is a non-competitive bicycle ride organized by The Des Moines Register. The ride goes from west to east across Iowa, and draws about 10,000 riders from the United States and many other countries. RAGBRAI was first held in 1973, and is the largest bike-touring event in the world held during the third week in July. Check out the RAGBRAI website for more information. The 2019 sleep over towns were announced on Jan. 26 and are shown in the photo below! The 2019 Route Maps with the pass through towns will be available in the spring.
The Melon City Bike Club provides an annual RAGBRAI charter service for members. When you ride with us on RAGBRAI many of the hassles of individual participation are eliminated. We take care of bike shipping, gear transport, campsite location, and getting you and your bike to the starting point and home again.
Please contact Julie and Mark Evans, our RAGBRAI coordinators, at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions and registration.
